Honda Civic Honda Tach Pod Installation

1. Remove Mounting Bracket Remove the mounting bracket from the tach. The bracket isn’t required for installation. Clean the tape from the tach and the shift light.
2. Drill Gap For Wiring Clip the shift gentle onto the Tach Pod to find out the opening location for the shift mild wires to pass through. Drill a 1⁄2″ hole.
3. Set up Shift Mild With putty knives in place, mount the shift light to the Tach Pod and ensure it is firmly attached.
4. Set up Tach and Gauges Press tach and passenger aspect gauge into place. Go away middle gauge out. Gauges are press fit so no hardware is required to hold gauges in place.
5. Releasing The Clips Flip each putty knife until it is behind the clip, then pull it in direction of you till its blade is under the clip. Go away both knives in place.
6. Remove Passenger Vent Take away the passenger aspect vent by gently prying up on each left and right sides concurrently utilizing a flat-tip screwdriver or a putty knife.
7. Connect Tach Pod Clip Connect the Tach Pod clip on the passenger side, as shown within the above photograph.
8. Remove Hazard Switch Using a flat tip screwdriver, carefully elevate the hazard swap out of the dash insert. Unplug the ten-pin connector and take away the switch.
9. Take away Tapping Screws Using your screwdriver, take away the three self-tapping screws securing the dash insert.
10. Put together Launch Of Clips Beginning on the suitable side of the middle vent, insert two putty knives in the hole underneath the sprint insert, subsequent to the 2 clips.
11. Releasing The Clips Turn every putty knife till it is behind the clip, then pull it in the direction of you until its blade is below the clip. Go away both knives in place.
12. Handling Sprint Insert Use the emergency flasher button gap to drag down and out on the dash insert.
13. Releasing tabs (proper side) Pull top of instrument panel down and towards you till tabs on top and clips on backside clear sprint and the putty knives are loose.
14. Release Insert (left facet) Launch remaining clip with putty knife. (Similar as shown in Step 5).
15. Eradicating Dash Insert G rasp the top of the dash insert firmly then gently pull down then out.
16. Connect Tach Pod Clip Connect the Tach Pod clip on the driver’s side.
17. Drill gap in vent housing Drill 1⁄2″ hole in vent housing for tach & gauge wiring to run through then all the way down to firewall. Don’t install heart gauge. Install plate over middle vent.
18. Installing Tach Pod Reinstall dash. Use a flat tip screwdriver to lift up on clip permitting Tach Pod to slide below the passenger aspect clip into position.
19. Tighten Driver’s Side Clip Insert the screw driver within the middle gauge hole and tighten the hold down screw for the drivers facet clip. Do not overtighten.
20. Putting in Heart Gauge Insert the center gauge by pressing it into place. Gauges are press fit and no extra hardware is required to put in them.
